contributing to building a better world

YPPJF started out as a local NGO to offer occupational skills to youths in the locality. Partnering with Mallamibro ICT Group, we have been able to offer practical Computer training skills to over 200 youths, thereby making them self reliant and functional in today's IT driven world.

With the active involvement of our Director (Ibrahim Oyeaknmi) in Online Volunteering activities, the YPPJF is making plans to start train youths in usage of the Internet with a view to guiding them to online volunteering. In the new year 2012, we are planning to train about 100 youths who will become active participants in the local and global Volunteering scene. Our Director is a recepient of many local and global awards for volunteering and so, he is always on the move to get more people to imbibe the violunteering spirit .

The YPPJF organizes a quaterly Tuition-free training programme in which 25 participants are trained in basic computer appreciation skills like Wordprocessing; Desktop Publishing, Basic Data management and Graphic Design. Participants are also given lectures in basic human rights, what they are and how to protect them. To date, over 400 youths have benefitted from various programmes of the YPPJF, and we are determined to do more

As time went by, the YPPJF has gone ahead to integrate activism (Online and onsite) to its focus. True empowerment can not be possible without respect for the basic human freedoms.

YPPJF is committed to non violent activism in combating injustice and discrimination in all forms.

We are based in Kano, Nigeria but the focus of our activities spans the globe, we believe injustice to any one person anywhere in the world, is injustice to the whole humanity. We stand firmly by the side of any individual or organization that is committed to ensuring human liberty is respected.
